We are a Singapore Headquartered Recruitment Consulting Company. Our client in Saudi Arabia is looking to hire a ” Vice President – Equity Capital Markets ” for a permanent assignment. The following are the skills required for the position.
Vice President – Equity Capital Markets (SAUDI ARABIA)
Department Investment Banking
Reporting to Head of Investment Banking
Main Role (Overall Accountability)
• To originate and execute Equity Capital Markets (ECM) transactions for the company.
• Lead, or be a material part of, deal teams involving ECM transactions or any other investment banking activity or transaction as required.
Principal Accountabilities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a business plan for the Investment Banking department including development of strategies, client segmentation, marketing plans, and execution criteria.
• Be a primary originator for ECM and advisory transactions with a client focus in the mid-cap market segment.
• Lead, or be a material part of, deal teams to fully transact ECM, advisory, or other investment banking transactions.
• Manage the distribution or fund-raising process, as needed, for any debt or equity transactions.
• Ensure that all proper documentation is completed, consistent with CMA and global investment banking standards. Included in this is the proper completion of any Prospectuses, Private Placement Memorandums, Subscription Agreements, regulatory filings, and completion of closing books.
• Develop cross-selling activities for the company. Products to include asset management (mutual funds, private equity, capital-protected notes, structured products), investment banking (bonds, sukuks, convertibles, private equity, IPOs), treasury (FX, structured products), and branch (deposit products).
• Provide reports such as transaction updates, marketing activity, etc as required.
• Meet performance targets and objectives as provided by Head or Investment Banking or the CEO.
Personal and Professional Specifications
• Preferably a post graduate degree/designation (CFA/MBA/ CA/CPA).
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Investment Banking with 5 (preferably 
years progressive positions in Equity Capital Markets (IPOs, rights offerings)
• Excellent experience of 3-5 years in Middle East region transacting IPOs is a must
• Must be an Arabic speaker – this is mandatory in line with the business needs
• Lead role or 2nd on deal team on at least 5 IPOs/rights offerings in Saudi Arabia
• Must have proven experience as both an originator & an executor of ECM transactions
• Excellent execution, leadership and relationship management skills.
