We are looking for candidates for the position of Project Manager Arts for a Large International Organization
Position Title: Project Manager Arts

Company Type: Large International Organization
Salary: 55K to 92K (based on candidate credentials)
Duration: Three Years contract — with possibility of extension

Essential Requirements:
– One or two years (or more) work experience
– Experience related to managing of preforming arts (Drama, Theatre, Art, Literature, Music, TV, Radio, Video, etc) OR Experience working in Event Management
– Excellent English writing skills and interpersonal communication skills

– Experience of working with numerous stakeholders OR experience of relationship management
– Work experience in prestigious foreign/local organization
– Minimum Bachelor’s level qualification or equivalent

Purpose of job:
– As part of a wider team in Pakistan and South Asia to manage,
implement and deliver various
components of the organizational arts, creative economies and arts and
development work in Sindh
and to a lesser extent Balochistan.
– Relationship building and engagement with arts, creative economies
and arts and development contacts, sponsors, arts partners and other
stakeholders in Sindh and Balochistan
– Coordination and management of all arts, creative economies and
arts and development related
partnership activities in Karachi

Context and Environment:
– The organization arts work in Pakistan aims to find new ways for
people and institutions in the UK
and Pakistan to connect and see each other through the arts and
culture. We do this through support
for professional development of young leaders and future leaders
active in the creative economies
of Pakistan and by facilitating collaboration between mainly young
arts practitioners from the UK and
Pakistan. We aim to cover a wide range of art forms and areas of the
creative economies: including
writing and literature, music, design, fashion, the visual arts,
drama, dance, film and heritage. We will also be developing projects
in arts and development (the use of arts in community and social
development work) working alongside our education and global
citizenship teams. The Pakistan arts team is led from Lahore, and is
part of a wider team of arts project managers in Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran and India. It is supported by the
organization arts departments in London.

Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
– Manage and deliver all aspects of the arts, creative economies and
arts and development work in Sindh, including research, development,
event and project management, monitoring and evaluation.
– There may also be opportunities to develop and deliver work in Balochistan.
– Develop and strengthen our networks of arts, creative economies and
arts and development contacts in these regions.
– Build and manage partnerships with the corporate, development and
government sectors to ensure
sustainability of the arts, creative economies and arts and
development project in the long term
– Agree an annual plan with the Marketing and Communications team to
ensure effective marketing
and customer service and to increase audience reach of all aspects of
the work for which the post is
responsible. Plan to be updated on a regular basis, as least quarterly
– Manage effective business risk and financial of all projects
delegated to the post on a regular basis as
defined in the project and programme.

Key relationships:
The post holder will be working to maintain existing and develop new
professional relationships:
– A wide range of arts and creative economies professionals and arts
and culture media contacts in Karachi and other cities in Sindh and
Balochistan government and city officials.
– Academic department heads at various arts education institutions,
and museum and cultural heritage officials in Sindh & Balochistan, and
the decision makers at various arts organizations
Corporate, foundation and arts and community and social development
organization contacts
Organization arts, education and global citizenship colleagues in
Pakistan, South Asia and London

Other important requirements of the job:
– Availability to travel within Pakistan. Some evening and weekend
working to deliver events.
– Passport/visa and/or nationality requirement.
– Right to work in Pakistan

Skills and Knowledge:
– Excellent English communication skills- verbal and written
– Knowledge of one or more areas of Pakistan’s arts and/or creative
economies sectors

– Proficient in Microsoft Office
– Knowledge of the role of the arts in community and social development

Experience:
– At least one year’s work experience in one or different forms of
the arts and/ or creative economies in a local or international
organization
– Experience of relationship management
– Experience of event Management

Qualifications:
– Minimum Bachelor’s level qualification or equivalent.
– An arts related further or higher education qualification
