Our large and established oil and gas client is searching for several candidates who have experience writing and editing technical documentation. This could be a great chance to move your career into a dynamic and growing oil and gas role. Please note that applicants will be required to fill out a skills matrix as well as provide a sample of their writing for submission.
Responsibilities
Edit for grammar, terminology and other writing standards
Adjust documents as needed to comply with established templates or general standards of document quality
Identify logical inconsistencies in the flow of steps or information in the document
Interact with subject matter experts inside and outside of the Capital Projects team to resolve gaps in documentation
Track documents through the editing process for version control
Qualifications
2+ years experience applying instructional design to develop training materials
Prior experience working on a software implementation project in a training role/capacity
Related certificate or degree (or 5+ years of experience) in the training field
Advanced MS Word skills (use of templates, styles, etc.)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent attention-to-detail
Proven ability to work independently with a high level of quality such that a final review produces very little feedback
Proven ability to work independently with a high level of quality such that a final review produces very little feedback
Primavera (PCM and/or P6)
Some experience writing test scripts
Oil & Gas Industry experience
Oracle UPK (training simulation application)
Capital Project Cost Controls, Accounting, Planning & Scheduling
Mercury/HP Quality Center
Livelink or similar content management system
