Permanent position
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Application Development
• Able to provide recommendations on application development
• Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation.
• Dictates design choices such as platform, application and database design
• Oversees the work of the software development team
• Ensures that all development practices are in compliance with industry’s best practices
• Keeps up to date with industry developments and apply these to client recommendations or programming team supervision.
Client Management
• Serves as a liaison between the software development team and the project managers/clients
• Make recommendations for optimal solution taking into consideration the client requirements and technical limitations
• Manages client interaction and expectations
• Works closely with project managers/clients to identify needs and evaluate technical solutions
Office IT
• Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, network and work stations
Administrative
• Manages the development and training of the software development team
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate shall demonstrate the following attributes:
Professional qualities:
• Independent and self-motivated with an aptitude for managing multiple projects and meeting tight time lines
• Ability to gain a thorough understanding of clients’ needs and effectively communicate them to the software development team
• Possess good communication skill and team working skills
• Creative problem solver
Skills and qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in managing software development projects
• Experience in internet application development is a must
• Possess a solid and wide-ranging foundation in programming and database structures
