Supervisor, Printing Production (Manufacturing) Ft Worth, Tx

I have an opportunity for a Printing Supervisor to join our team. Direct experience Printing on Acrylic, Metal or Plastic materials is Strongly Preferred, but strong Manufacturing experience with a basic knowledge of Printing functions will also be considered.

We are in the process of upgrading our Front Line Supervisors and a Bachelors Degree is strongly preferred, but appropriate experience and an Associates Degree will also be considered.

Job Summary

Plans, supervises and monitors the Metal Printing Department operations and activities. Determines priorities for department operations in conjunction with production manager and schedule. Supervises and coordinates the activities of production workers by performing the following duties personally or through assistant personnel

General Responsibilities include:
• Using a variety of continuous improvement techniques recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and print quality.
• Receives production orders and job assignments from Production Manager.
• Studies production schedules and estimates labor hours required to complete printing jobs.
• Assigns orders to production personnel.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and print quality.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work related problems.
• Schedules and ensures operator and routine maintenance is performed on assigned equipment.
• Ensures area is maintained in a high state of cleanliness and organization in accordance with the 5-S principles.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of personnel.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between individual departments.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assisting, and directing work; appraising performance; counseling; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; managing and providing resources and materials necessary for the production process.

Desired Requirements for Consideration
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Production Management from four-year College or university
• Three to five years of Production Management experience.
• Three to five years experience in Managing a staff of 10-20 employees
• Strong skills in work planning, scheduling, quality control, and metrics.
