Strategic Communications Manager, Cisco Systems, San Jose, CA – no relocation offered
Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking that transforms how people connect, communicate and collaborate, is seeking a strategic communications manager for the Customer Value Chain Management organization. This individual will be responsible for communication strategy, positioning, messaging and major communication deliverables for the Customer Operations and Demand Management and Planning team including executive communications for the Vice President of the function.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation and management of communication strategies, plans, and messaging. Drives the creation of messaging for executive and the Customer Operations and Demand Management and Planning function. Ensures that communication strategies are successfully executed across multiple channels including written communications and presentations for internal and external stakeholders and utilization of Web 2.0/collaboration tools as a communications platform. Serves as a communication advisor to value chain executives and leadership teams. Ensures that communications strategy and messaging is aligned with messaging at the corporate and Customer Value Chain Management level. Builds partnerships with individuals at all levels of the organization and works across multiple functions at Cisco. Works as part of a team to achieve desired results. May manage outside vendors and consultants.

Education and Experience:
Typically requires BA/BS in Communications or related field plus 8-10+ years of relevant communications experience. Knowledge of customer service and operations, demand management and planning, supply chain management, and/or manufacturing a plus but not required.
