Currently seeking a dynamic Mining Engineering Specialist to provide high quality consulting services to its growing base of clients in metallurgy and mineral processing.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication, consulting, analytical and organizational skills as well as being a dedicated team player. Applicants should have ideally 7 to 10 years experience in mining operations or consulting and be interested in business development. Preference will be given to candidates with open pit mining experience and those who have the demonstrated ability to find innovative and cost effective solutions to complex problems. This position is Montreal based.
Description:
- Work with a multidisciplinary team of skilled engineers, designers and project support staff
- Preparation and reviewing of project proposals, studies and technical reports
- Cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects that meet or exceed client expectations
- Must be able to liaise with clients on a technical level and present reports, publications and presentations in a professional manner
- Passion and aptitude to mentor, train, and share your experiences with others
- Enthusiasm for business development and growth, and commitment to generating value creating opportunities
- Occasional travel to domestic and international destinations is required

Requirements:
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Mining Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of mining experience in operations, engineering and project evaluation
- Experience in mine equipment selection, capital cost and operating cost estimates
- Strong track record of successfully completed projects in the mining industry
- Ability to register as a Professional Engineer in Quebec (O.I.Q.)
- Willingness to work in a bilingual environment (French, English)
- NI 43-101 knowledge and reporting experience
- Experience in performing financial evaluations is an asset
