Sr Manager/Director of Strategic Marketing A Fortune 500 Aerospace Company Location: Open for discussion Must be eligible to work in USA

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for the overall profitability of product line throughout the product life cycle including the evaluation of globalization opportunities and product improvements.
Specific product responsibilities include:
* Product line management of complete life cycle of, current products including product business plans and product roadmaps coordinated with all business units.
* Development of new product concepts, especially focusing on collection of solid VOC information and development of robust product business plans.
* Development of product roadmaps that consider mandates, competitive threats, and customer need dates to develop executable plans that meet all requirements in an appropriate time frame.
* Communication and coordination with all other segment leaders and applicable M and PM teams to identify synergies, design reuse, and coordinated development requirements.
* High degree of interaction with customers, regulatory agencies, potential partners.
The incumbent will lead the product team, and partner with both business and functional resources to drive strategy execution. This position will also interface regularly with the other Aerospace Marketing, business and functional leaders to ensure goal alignment and consistent strategies.
Revenue:
• Approximately $200m annual revenue
Specific areas of responsibility include:
• Owns and manages product life cycle financial performance (profit and loss)
• Develop and execute strategic plans, product plans, including cost and growth strategies
• Develop cost reduction strategies
• Sets strategy for product portfolio optimization and organizational execution requirements
• Product performance and integrity
• Owns product prioritization and approves all funding requirements and changes, and manages funding of the changes
• Approves all product line financial analysis in accordance with product line road maps/strategies. Determines and approves pricing inputs for all financial analysis, value pricing, pricing strategy and catalogue publications
• Align resources for product strategy deployment for product line execution- including capital, RD and E, recovery, and technical capabilities (engineering and manufacturing)
• Leads Product Action Committee related to area of responsibility – to drive cross functional product strategy execution
• Develop and execute integrated product, technology, and environment road maps
• Defines value propositions based on customer needs analysis and incorporates into value proposition/go to market strategies
• Collaborates with the Customer Business Teams to perform product voice of the customer
• Develop and understand customer total cost of ownership
• Drives and owns SKU management reduction, addresses excess and obsolete SKUs
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in an analytical field (engineering, economics, math or related discipline)
• Minimum of 5 years directly related experience (experience managing and promoting high technology products from inception through sunset); 8-10 years of total work experience (outside of aerospace industry is considered).
