Sr. JAVA Software Engineer
Responsibilities
- Engage in the development platform migration from an in-house framework to Spring MVC
- Design, implement, test and deploy various applications for our client.
- Create robust, high-performing, maintainable, high-volume production applications, as well as work with our talented product team to develop prototypes quickly.
- Create cross-team features and web application
- Creating cobranded experience for partners
- Integrating reporting and analytics utilities into search results pages to help track revenue and understand user’s frequency and retention metrics.
- Understand the best practices of web development and work closely with the product team to suggest ways and means of improving customer experience, site performance and monetization
Technical Skills
- 5+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and testing in high-performing web applications.
- J2EE experience, including but not limited to Internet technologies, web applications and services.
- TAKO, Spring Framework JSP, JSTL, Velocity, Servlets – 3 yrs
- Java, JSP, XML – 5 yrs
- Proven results-oriented person having experience with developing on web frameworks from inception to delivery.
- Have in-depth and hands-on knowledge of Web 2.0 strategies. Including, but not limited to:
Experience designing and building UI components in JavaScript
Knowledge of HTML, CSS - Expertise in cross browser development (IE, Firefox) and Web usability and interface design
- Excellent debugging, problem solving, and testing skills.
- Development experience in a Unix/Linux environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge and keen interest in emerging technologies in the online industry.
Required Experience
- 5+ yrs industry experience
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
