Due to further business expansion in the Middle East, we are currently retained by this leading international contractor with an enviable reputation for delivering major landmark projects. Our client now requires an experienced Senior Commercial Manager for their new operations in Saudi Arabia.
Based in Jeddah and reporting locally to the Regional Manager and to the Middle East Commercial Director, you will have full departmental and project commercial responsibilities.
You will be responsible for negotiating the head contracts of new major building projects, overseeing the letting of sub-contracts and managing these contracts through their construction. You’ll be supported by a qualified international commercial team, both on site and in the regional office.
To qualify for this position, you will be tertiary qualified with the relevant degree with at least 20 years experience involved with major building projects. You will have extensive experience of various forms of contracts including FIDIC, NEC, JCT etc gained from working for an international 1st tier contractor.
You will be an astute negotiator coupled with the ability to manage multi-national teams with excellent delegation and communication skills as well as experience of working in Saudi Arabia.
