We are URGENTLY looking for a Principle Design Engineer (can start right away!) can design analog and digital
circuit, someone who can write firmware and works with FPGAs. This is in Lenoir City, TN.
FYI: it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any experience in aviation or aircraft cockpit communications systems,
they can train you!
This is for a Company that has been the source for virtually every major innovation in the field of aircraft audio
avionics.
The successful candidate for this position must be an individual that can manage several projects simultaneously,
enjoy being involved in many of the aspects of an engineering and manufacturing company, being part of a small team
that is dedicated to quality and profit, and has depth of experience to bring new engineering practices to the
company. Some experience in software certification under FAA RTCA D0-170B as well as hardware requirements under
DO-254 would be desirable.
Ultimately, the individual that fills this position will have an entrepreneurial spirit, willing and interested in
performing tasks outside of electrical engineering design, which includes management, sales, and team building.
• Experience in the design, layout, and testing of complex PCBs (Proficiency with ORCAD design environment a strong
plus)
• Logic design using assembly and C
• At least 5 to 10 years experience in mixed signal systems design with design and hands on experience.
• Embedded system programming experience with PIC microcessors preferred.
• High degree of proficiency with FPGA development (VHDL, simulation, performance optimization) and experience with
Actel tools a plus.
• Analog design experience with op-amps, analog switches, and audio amplifiers in low-noise audio systems
• PLD/FPGAs.
• Technical documentation skills.
Preferred abilities:
• Microchip PIC processor programming.
• Compliance testing experience.
• Experience in high accuracy signal processing and signal conditioning.
• RTCA/FAA compliance testing experience.
• Avionics background.
• Experience interfacing with manufacturing and test groups.
