In 2003, Glenbrook completed a $40 million renovation that expanded it 1/3 in size, including 24 new private patient rooms, a same-day surgery area, new nurse-designed intensive-care unit, emergency room expansion, and a new lobby complete with fireplace and fountain. Under administrative direction, the Clinical Nurse Manager assumes twenty-four hour responsibility in managing the human and material resources in order to provide quality patient care in an environment conducive to staff growth and satisfaction. The Nurse Manager is accountable for assuring staff provides age specific nursing care for the patient population described in respective unit scope of services and contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of the philosophy and objectives, educational efforts and research. As the OR manager you will work with our customized medical information system that eliminates paper charts and replaces them with a single, electronic medical record. Each patient’s medical history can be traced from a doctor’s office to the emergency room or outpatient clinic – assuring that it is always correct and up-to-date. Our electronic medical records system is changing the way we practice medicine.
Education Required:
Operating Room / Perioperative Clinical Nurse Management Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of Perioperative / Operating Room Nurse Supervisory experience * Current Registered Nursing License in Illinois (or ability to obtain one) * Bachelors Degree of Science in Nursing * Masters Degree of Science in Nursing *preferred * Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) *preferred
