Seeking Network Manager for Deerfield, IL, USA
TITLE: 11265
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As Network Manager, you will be focused on ensuring the smooth operation of the entire enterprise’s systems. You will strategize and plan in order to guarantee that the network is performing at full capacity and is ready for future upgrades. Your focus will be on the daily operations of the network and its servers, while consistently keeping short and long-term strategic plans in mind. You will work with end users and other stakeholders to determine needs and to make sure that all requirements are being met. You will coordinate with vendors and outside parties and assist in the implementation of upgrades. The Help Desk will run smoothly and be useful to users due to your management. The Manager will also be responsible for performance reviews for a group of analysts and technicians. This Manager needs to possess strong technical skills, but also be able to work with a wide variety of parties. REQUIREMENTS:
**Bachelor’s degree
**Certificates such as CCNA, MCTS, or MCITP a plus
**10+ years experience in maintaining and configuring an entire company’s LANS, WANs, VLANs, and VPNs across an IT environment made up of multiple sites
**7+ years experience with Cisco routers, concentrators, and Check Point firewalls
**5+ years designing and deploying LAN environments which are wireless and secure
**Demonstrated experience in solving hardware issues in relation to SANS, routers, network interface cards, etc.
**Highly knowledgeable in protocols and standards (DNS, WINS, TCP/IP, etc.)
**Background in SQL, PHP, and .Net
**In-depth support experience with VMware, SQL Server, Exchange, ESX, and Exchange, Active Directory, Altiris, Checkpoint, Backup Exec, and FatPipe.
**Further experience in telephony systems, wireless technologies, and network cabling.
**Knowledge in telecommunications principles and applicable privacy acts
**Strong interpersonal and communication skills
**Extremely motivated and able to work independently
**Proven ability to work well under pressure
**Excellent customer service skills
