SAP** Basis Administrators* to provide basis administration services related
to the design, installation, administration, testing and on-going
maintenance of SAP and SAP third-party software packages and patches, which
are currently being implemented. The major components of SAP included are
ECC6.0 EHP4, BI 7.01, EP 7.01, Solution manager 7.01 and PI 7.10. The
position requires analyzing system requirements, service patch
administration, managing change requests, configuration of standard
solutions, testing and all other SAP and SAP 3rd party administration
functions. The implementation includes 5 systems landscape.
We are building a SAP Basis Administration Team & are looking forward to
hire candidates for following roles.
*Candidates with Linux in VMWARE setup will be desirable.*
*SAP** Basis*
• Must have SAP (ABAP+ JAVA) systems in virtualized environment
• Must to have various SAP components installations and
configurations experience
• Experience in building including implementing, operating and
maintaining of large SAP business suites
• Experience in Database/ORACLE (10G) administration
• Building high availability of SAP systems (fail-over, disaster
recovery etc.) is a plus Basic Solution Manager experience is required
*Roles & Responsibilities:*
• SAP Basis administration and technical core competencies tasks
including SAP software installation, upgrade, applying Support Packages, and
installation of add-on software components
• SAP profile parameter changes, workload analysis, system error
analysis and establishment of standard Basis background jobs and system
health checks and monitoring
• Impact analysis of new SAP releases to current system landscape
environments
• Design of solution and assistance to project and production
support teams in deploying the solution
• Analysis of system performance, database performance, system
health checks and implementation of tuning improvements
• Establishment of OSS and EarlyWatch connections where appropriate
• Participation in multi-landscape design solutions, architecture
recommendations, and client strategies for continuous improvement
• Maintenance of multi-landscape environments through client copies,
system refreshes, and transport management
• Responsibility for optimal disk layout, file system structures, OS
tuning/performance improvements, and troubleshooting
• Technical consulting and mentoring to application development,
functional, global rollout, integration and change release management teams,
and also to fellow Basis Administrators
• Technical Leadership and participation in technical projects
across multiple teams
• Investigation and engineering of new technologies and solution
from SAP and associated software vendors
• Practical experience interfacing to 3rd party technologies such
as BSI, Adobe Forms bolt-ons.
*Required Skills & Experience:*
• Full life cycle SAP project implementation preferred
• SAP Basis Administration experience
• IT infrastructure experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Oracle database administration, preferably including RAC
• SAP Basis Administration in a virtual environment
• Working knowledge of SAP in 64 bit hardware environment.
