Responsibilities of Position: Responsible for the Clinical and Management of the Department. Department is currently 37 beds, with the capability to increase based on volume. Responsibilities include directing, supervising, and coordinating of the Department. This role has the support of 4 (4.0 FTE) Patient Care Coordinators and will oversee approximately 60 staff members (42 FTE). Collaborates with staff, management and physicians to ensure quality and patient care is being provided with optimum patient outcomes. Provides leadership, motivation and vision necessary to ensure continued quality patient care.
Establishes process to define qualifications, responsibilities,
competencies and staffing needed to provide care and services
that meet the mission, vision, and values of this facility.
* Develops teams that can focus on immediate issues, move
quickly, and achieve specific results as planned.
* Continually defines, analyzes, and implements efficient
workflow utilizing process improvement principles.
* Accountable for patient, staff, and physician satisfaction
* Monitors and sustains budgetary projections for department
* Recruitment and retention of nursing staff.
* Collaborates with leadership of Cancer Institute to foster
oncology care continuum.
Education Required:
Experience:
* Two years recent Nursing/Allied Health experience with 2
years progressive management experience.
* BSN Preferred
License/Certifications:
* Current State Registered Nurse License required.
* BLS certification required.
* ONS certification preferred.
