Travelling: 30-50 days / year of travelling internationally and domestically
Reporting to: Business wise: Vice President of global operations; Legal wise: Board of the company

Responsibilities:
+ Be a member of the management team
+ Ensure the financial development goes according to agreed objectives and strategies with the management team
+ Responsible for profit and loss of the factory and product platform
+ Responsible for the product lines in the factory
+ Operational responsibility for the manufacturing site
+ Ensure world class manufacturing capabilities within the company
+ Ensure the strategic development of the factory and organization
+ Ensure efficient cross functional collaboration within the company
+ Ensure the build-up of a technical competence center for PL06 compressors in China
+ Ensure development of Engineering competences locally together with the global technological department
+ Ensure development of procurement and supplier development competences locally together with global procurement
+ Ensure local efficiency while working with the group matrix
+ Initiate and ensure continuous and ambitious development for key operational KPIs
+ Initiate, plan and implement activities at deviations
+ Recruit, develop and maintain local talent and competences
+ Ensure effective and align coordination with company’s other factories and overall strategy
+ Ensure effective and align cooperation with company’s global functions
+ Ensure quality development on a world class level
+ Ensure active contribution and participation in the management team
+ Monitor general development in China and ensure that the group is exploring long term possibilities in China
+ Maintain contact with relevant local authorities
Requirements:
+ Bachelor degree in Engineering or a related field
+ Knowledge about business administration or a related subject
+ Masters degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
+ Minimum 10-15 years experience within different functional areas
+ Experience in the following industries: Automotive / Whitegoods/ assembly / Serial production environment
+ GM experience from a similar industry – also within companies of a smaller scale
+ Experience with greenfield investment
+ Experience with company restructuring
+ Experienced with working in China
+ Experienced in negotiating with customers and suppliers in China
+ Experienced in developing an important competitive supplier base in China
+ Ability to read, understand and analyze financial information provided by the Finance Director or a comparable position
+ Proficient IT knowledge, particularly with respect to MS Word,Excel, and Outlook
+ Strong leadership skills, ability to build relationships
+ More result oriented than process oriented
+ Diplomatic skills, natural motivator
+ Pays attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind
+ Calm, mature, has a personal high drive
+ Extroverted and communicative
