On behalf of our client, a Dutch firm specialized in textile, apparel, and accessories for the European market, we are currently looking for a QC Supervisor / Area Manager with sound working experience as garment inspector in China for export garments.
Job Title: QC Supervisor / Area Manager Ningbo, J#242TH
Salary: Up to RMB 18,000 / month (depending on experience)
Starting date: As soon as possible
Location: Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China
Number of subordinates: 6
Reporting to: Divisional Merchandise Manager Ningbo
Team size: 7
Travelling: > 75%
Responsibilities:
+ Supervise a team of 5-7 local QCs in a certain area in China (starting with Zhejiang or Jiangsu area)
+ Conduct Final Inspections for in the area together with the local QC
+ Evaluate samples
+ Advice factories and merchandisers regarding solving production issues
Requirements:
+ Technical knowledge of garment sewing and at least basic knowledge of pattern making
+ At least 6 years’ experience as garment inspector for export garments
+ At least 3 years’ experience as inspector in China for a trading company conducting inspections in a large number of factories
+ Experience with Trading Firm with Subcontracting
+ Strong communication skills with factories and good communication with merchandisers in Ningbo
+ Flexible and stress resistant, detailed work approach and positive attitude
+ Fluent in English and Mandarin
+ Filipino is a plus
+ Willing to travel extensively
