Our Client is looking for a Project Engineer for a period of three months starting as soon as possible, to help with a backlog of engineering issues and a key project.
We are looking for someone with good design and CAD skills in addition to general engineering capability
Job Purpose:
The position is key within the Integrated Project Team, providing project control from initial concept, through the development and finally to the production of the equipment. The projects will be focused on hydraulic systems in defence applications for customers in the UK and overseas, ensuring budgets are managed and premier customer service is achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
• Project Engineers with good design and CAD skills in addition to general engineering capability
• Provide Engineering Support with-in the project team.
• Contribute to the design and development of system equipment.
• Complete & generate engineering documentation required during the length of a
project.
• Liaise with suppliers’ to determine the best commercial and engineering solutions.
• Work closely with customers to ensure their requirements are fully satisfied.
• Co-ordinate project work in a timely manner to ensure that projects run to the agreed timescales quality and cost.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
• Degree level educated or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Experience in project engineering activities.
• Knowledge of hydraulic or electrical engineering principles (beneficial / desirable)
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• Ability to operate Inventor 3D design package and Autocad (beneficial / desirable)
• Computer literate in Microsoft office computer package and comfortable using e-mail and the internet
• Innovative and embrace lean enterprise.
• A full clean driving licence is a requirement.
The hours would be:
Mon – Thur 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Friday 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
