Program Manager (MCSMP Program), HLFPPT, Mumbai

1. POSITION VACANT: Program Manager (PM), Maharashtra Condom Social Marketing Program (MCSMP),
Hindustan Latex Family Planning Promotion Trust (HLFPPT),
(1 Vacancy, Location – Mumbai)

2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

Ever since its inception, HLFPPT continues to integrate and expand its contribution towards achievement of national health and population goals. In essence, HLFPPT has evolved into a professional service organization with diverse yet synergistic initiatives ranging from development of products to innovative solutions and services for better health communication is an integral part of all the programs/projects implemented by HLFPPT.

HLFPPT invites applications for the position of Program Manager for its Maharashtra Condom Social Marketing Program (MCSMP) funded by the US Agency for International Development

3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Manager (MCSMP) will be reporting to the Head – Marketing & and Communication Division. The Program Manager shall perform the following job duties –

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Planning, organizing, supervising and participating in activities of the assigned program;
(2) Functioning as a team leader to ensure full team participation and coordination;
(3) Networking with state government bodies for integrating and strengthening the program;
(4) Providing technical support & capacity building to state bodies and non-government partners at the state and district level in program management areas and working closely with national / international consultants for developing effective program management system;
(5) Ensuring appropriate documentation & dissemination of best practices and lessons learned from programs;
(6) Coordinating with the team for enhanced visibility of HLFPPT programs including site visits to demonstration programs;
(7) Leading the program team in the state for overall achievement of the program goals to ensure cost-effectiveness, assure quality and timely deliverable;
(8) Ensuring effective support in designing, delivering and monitoring quality program;
(9) Understanding the functioning of the donor USAID and ensuring that all offices/ partnerships/ activities are fully compliant with the norms of USAID;
(10) Ensuring coordination between the program staff and the state teams, particularly with regards to the delivery and monitoring of objectives;
(11) Maintaining an efficient and relevant MIS for program and budget reporting and periodically report against key impact and process indicators.

Additional Responsibilities:

(1) Exploring and securing funding opportunities for strategic work in the state and outside;
(2) Constantly exploring the most cost effective and impact approach to program;
(3) Identifying opportunities and contributing to undertaking advocacy initiatives at state and other levels in co-ordination with the concerned staff members.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification:

Minimum a Post Graduate in Social Sciences/ Social Work/ Public Health/ Management or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 8 years of experience in the development sector, providing technical assistance. Experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs, preferably at national and state level and willingness to travel extensively in the state of Maharashtra. Should have intense knowledge of working on HIV/AIDS with high risk groups.

Required Competencies:

(1) Knowledge and understanding of program management;
(2) Proficiency in program management/ computer software;
(3) Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills;
(4) Willing to travel extensively within the state of Maharashtra;
(5) Energetic, resilient and passionate;
(6) Professional, mature and confident.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Not exceeding Rs. 7.50 lacs per annum on CTC basis
