Product Marketing Manager A Fortune 100 Company Location: Connecticut Relocation Package: No Must be eligible to work in USA
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for recommending and implementing marketing activities for the product line. He/she will work with the marketing team to identify, document and recommend growth activities for the business. These growth activities will be developed through use of Voice of the Customer (VOC) discussions to discern customer segments, economics [willingness to pay and cost to serve], competitive dynamics, choosing target segments, development of offerings for each target segment, and development of go to market approaches including channel, positioning, pricing and promotion.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales organization, Engineering and Quality functions, key distributors, internal executives, and key business partners to maximize the growth, development and return on investment of the organization’s product portfolio today and in the future.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Analysis of market to determine customer needs, feature/benefit value proposition, and positioning against competition.
• Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy based on knowledge of HFS strengths, customer characteristics, and profit objectives. Consult with customers and prospects to determine what is expected to be in demand.
• Conduct VOC, NPI, and QFD events.
• Actively participate in customer/promotional activities, trade and special customer shows, collateral generation, and customer messaging communications.
• Drive marketing interface activities with Sales, ISC, Customer Operations, Engineering and Communications.
• Prepare NPI projects; including such detail as budgets, resource requirements, sales forecasts, and ROI projections.
• Coordinate marketing communications activities to promote products such as webinars, email blasts and other media, working with Communications management. Identify field issues and communicate latest product changes, updates or corrective actions.
• Conduct pricing analysis and sales forecasting to ensure availability and profitability of products, analyzing the business and monitoring market trends. Develop pricing strategies.
• Review documentation related to product line to ensure it is accurate, complete and effective. Work with Engineering on creation/revision of all technical documentation.
• Supervise activities of Associate Marketing Manager, Summer Interns, or other junior personnel as necessary.
• Occasional to moderate overnight(s) travel, 10%-25%
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree.
• 3+ years experience marketing or marketing analysis to include the 5 P’s for a technical product line
