CA Global: Engineering and Construction (Africa Positions) has a client that is in need of a Port Operations Manager. The position will be based in Liberia.
Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction of the port, working alongside the dedicated construction company as well as then oversee the management of the operations once constructed. This position would report to the COO.
Reporting into this role are the maintenance and operations people for the port. The most important background to have is extensive port operations experience (operations and maintenance), we are looking for someone with strong ability to build a team, strong focus on results, ability to work in emerging markets and upskill, train and develop employees.
Any experience in project management and construction of ports is very advantageous in particular being able to effectively manage the EPCM provider to the project deadlines, in line with the scope.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree/qualification and certification/accreditation as a Port Operations Manager.
- At least 5-10 years of Port Operations experience.
- Experience in Project Management or Construction of Ports would be an advantage.
