Job Description
The People Bank Winnipeg is currently recruiting a Payroll Coordinator for a temporary to permanent position. This role requires someone who is experienced, and looking for a career opportunity.
Duties:
· Batch timecards, prepare information for entry
· This company does payroll for 850 employees. This position will be responsible for around 300
· Ensure all changes and additional requests are input into the appropriate database within corresponding pay period
· Prepare routine letters and correspondence
· Respond to inquiries from supervisors regarding employees pay, deductions, vacation etc.
· Other administrative tasks as required
· Prepare scheduled reports
· Input work order data from timecards
Requirements:
· Related post-secondary training along with CPA 1-2 complete or current enrollment. Will accept combination of related training and experience
· Minimum one year related experience
· Experience with unionized payrolls or in unionized environment a definite asset
· Advanced Excel and intermediate Word
· Experience/knowledge of automated payroll systems
· Accurate data entry
· Basic knowledge of legislation, regulations related to HR/Payroll
· General understanding of accounting
