Operations Manager – 60k to 90k – Laredo, TX – Relocation Assistance Available
Our client one of the worlds leading suppliers of forwarding & logistics services in the world currently seeks an Operations Manager for their Laredo, TX office. This position will be heavily involved in day to day operations, sales, marketing, and customer service. Responsibilities in this role will include timely compliance and reporting with deadlines, monitoring and handling broker statistics, terminal reports, new hire and termination letters, budget preparation, annual statements to importers on optional duty payment . This role will also conduct face to face client visits with customers and update department staff on market trends and rate changes. The operations manager will be expected to assure proper information flow with sales on changes or problems with external customers and evaluate staff performance. This role will be heavily involved in the sales function of the company by proposing sales plans, optimizing cost of sales and assuring compliance with the sales process
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in business management, Logistics, supply chain, engineering, or operations management will be required
• Five plus years of experience in a sales or operations role within the logistics, supply chain or manufacturing industries
• Strong background in sales and customer service required
• Licensed Custom Broker would be a plus
• Export or Mexican brokerage license would be a plus
• Six Sigma experience would be a plus
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
• Relocation Assistance would be considered for this role
• Strong computer skills required
• Compensation range 60k to 90k
