Network Engineer

Berean Group Seeking Network Engineer
Location: Miramar, FL
Duration: 5 Months
Job Type: Contract to hire

Required skills/competencies
• Must have strong hands-on work experience planning, designing and implementing MPLS, ATM and Frame Relays networks
• Expert level proficiency working with Access Control List (ACLs), TCP/IP, VLAN, VRF, Port Security, Traffic Shaping, Priority Queuing, Class of Service (CoS), Quality of Service (QoS) and IP routing. -Strong proficiency with EIRGP, BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Comprehensive hands on experience with LAN/WLAN/WAN/MAN topologies. -Strong working knowledge of wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n, WISM, WCS, VoIP, IP Telephony, H323, SIP and H320
• Solid operational and working knowledge of enterprise network management platforms for fault isolation management, performance management, capacity planning and reporting.
• Strong proficiency with 2 or more of the following applications: Cisco Works, WCS, WLSE, Net Scout Performance Manager and Infini-Stream
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to function in a high degree of independence on projects and tasks.
Preferred Skills
• Marine based terrestrial satellite communications systems such as: VSAT, C-Band, Ku-Band and Inmarset
• Hands-on experience working with leading WAN optimization and compression appliances such as: Riverbed, F5-WanJet, Bluecoat and Cisco WAAS -Strong knowledge of IP based, Alcatel, Mitel, Avaya and Cisco Call Manager Telephony platforms
Preferred Education
• 4 year degree in technical field plus
• 5 years network experience or 8 years network infrastructure experience required.
Required Certifications
• Certificates / Licenses -Preferred: CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, PMI, CNX Note, CCIE or on track to CCIE preferred, candidates may be denied if they do not show this.
