Requirements
• MBBS or equivalent degree with PMDC registration.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidate having working experience with National/International NGO especially in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of WHO standards in health is mandatory
Duties
• Keep record of OPD and provide daily/weekly/monthly reports on Program activities to Health Coordinator.
• Examines patients in daily OPD to diagnose medical problems, utilizing physical findings and patient’s complete medical history.
• To provide daily/weekly and monthly report of patients checked and threats of upcoming diseases.
• Keep daily record of patient visited and make recommendations for precautionary measure for future coming diseases in flood affecties.
• To work as a part of multidisciplinary medical team alongside paramedical staff, support staff, social worker and physiotherapists etc
• To offer counseling to the patients for problems relating to different medical problems such as anxiety, depression, addiction, social and interpersonal problems, challenging behavior and increasingly, a range of more difficult health problems of flood affectees.
• Appropriate referrals of patient and follow up.
• To provide immediate report of suspected epidemic diseases.
• Rehabilitating long stay- patients into medical camp if and as required.
• Co-ordination and representation with MAP, local govt. donors, and other NGOs to avoid project activity overlap whilst sufficiently addressing the full needs of victims of flood in close coordination with Health coordinator.
• Make efforts for vaccination to victims of flood to avoid future health issues and train the vaccinators as per requirement.
• To be completely familiar with emergency equipment.
• To dispense drugs to patient in absence of nurse/dispenser as and when required.
• To record all treatments performed in patient notes.
• Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and all other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. Assist in any other project-related matter assigned by the management. Ensure proper medical waste disposal at the health facility.
• Able to travel a lot in the targeted area for the mobile health activities.
• Should have appropriate supervision of the medicines being issued and their proper record maintenance at the health facility level.
• Should be very friendly with the lower staff and help them fully when needed.
