Manufacturing Engineer — Sioux Falls, SD Manpower is the exclusive recruiter for Adams Thermal Systems. We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. The Manufacturing Engineers responsibility is to support and lead the continuous improvement process related to production, routing time reduction, and process optimization, and the manufacturing of quality products. This position will participate in project teams and launching of new business. Perform proficient problem solving of daily and chronic production issues.
Essential Job FunctionsResponsible to support production and lead the charge to improve processes and quality.Responsible for all phases related to obtaining and maintaining capable productionprocesses.Interface with production and quality to ensure delivery of on-time production.Hands-on experience in new equipment acquisition.Participate in simultaneous engineering to assure manufacturability and costeffectiveness.Lead/participate in process/design FMEAs with cross-functional groups.Actively involved in TS-16949; Control Plans, PPAPs, Process Capability Studies (Cpk),Statistical Process Controls, Gauging and Testing Techniques.Maintenance and application of the production standards system utilizing a variety ofwork measurement techniques (time/motion studies, work content studies).Coordinate with internal/external engineering and suppliers to develop and meet toolingneeds.Create and maintain required manufacturing documentation.Project management which successfully incorporates engineeringexperience/methodologies and people management skills.
Qualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must beable to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Four year engineering degree required; BS in mechanical engineering preferred.Three years experience supporting manufacturing systems, equipment and processesrequired.Experience in many of the following manufacturing processes;o production tooling, production optimization, fixture design, work station design,line layout and balancing, lead Kaizen process and experience working withinOSHA and safety regulations.
