Position: Graphic Designer
Location: San Antonio, TX
Our company is actively searching for an “out of this world” Graphic Designer to blast away the competition with
their portfolio and stellar experience. We are an award-winning branding firm optimized for middle market companies
in need of marketing discipline and organization. Our Graphic Designer will provide conceptual and design skills,
leadership and training for graphic arts and visual communication materials. In this capacity they will drive the
effort to translate concepts and information into creative solutions. They coordinate project pre-planning between
the account manager, art buyer and selected vendors. They prepare and present comprehensive layouts and
presentations to the creative director and clients. The Graphic Designer is a collaborative member of the creative
team yet is able to function autonomously. They also assist in training and developing the skills of junior
designers.
Your Required Skills and Experience:
You have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related discipline from an accredited university
You have at least five years of experience in a design firm with at least three years focused on a multimedia
design role (including web, print, social media, video, story boarding, etc.)
You can demonstrate your ability to apply sound design principles and techniques to create communications solutions
for advertisements, editorial and business publications, identity and collateral, promotions, web sites and
interactive and social media
You know how to hand-sketch a logo or create a logo using Illustrator with your eyes closed
You have a passion for technology and are always looking for the next “big thing”
You would make us extremely happy if you have previous experience with brands in the financial services, youth
media and food and beverage industries and/or you have production experience
You may be the “co-pilot” but you are also a tremendous team player that displays an optimistic leadership style,
integrity, and can work independently in a fast paced environment
You are an excellent multi tasker and have created and managed large scale projects from inception to completion and
can tangibly demonstrate your success with an amazing portfolio and rave reviews from your clients
You would describe yourself as having “expert level” knowledge of Mac and PC versions of Adobe CS3, Microsoft
Office, Entourage/Outlook and FTP client applications; i Pad design experience a plus
You possess a high level of maturity, strong business acumen and excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
You have a track record of consistently delivering creative solutions that demonstrate a clear understanding of the
client’s business objectives
Your friends may describe you as “too involved” because you live the brand promise of the company you work for and
evangelize it’s value proposition
You have a personal sense of accountability in your design process and outcome and can maintain integrity and
ethics during the evolution
You are the “cream of the crop” in your design craft and have consistently demonstrated strong layout, type and
production and art direction abilities coupled with awareness, empathy, vision and a good dose of common sense
