Qualifications:
Biology or agronomy background would be preferred but not required. The work is physical at times and will require working in warm temperatures during the summer. Daily start/stop times may vary depending on the season, however, normal times will be from 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. each work day.
Responsibilities:
Contractor will work with associates in BioAssay Production Group. Primary activity is to water and maintain research plant growth during weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and eleven (11) Company Crop Protection observed holidays each year for greenhouses, screen houses, and growth chambers. Additional tasks include: fertilization and the use of fertilizer injectors, plant relocation, seed planting, watering at more frequent intervals, watering of pots, flats, wells and special containers, test unit set up as indicated by research specific requirements, discarding of tests marked by research, removing discarded test plants and other materials to appropriate dumpsters, washing plant carts, GH benches and floors, reopening houses by taking down previous spray notices, maintaining S200 common area foliage in lobby and lunchroom. Physical bending and lifting of soil and pots will be done.
