IT Procurement Manager – San Antonio, TX
Responsibilities:
• Minimize cost and maximize value in the procurement process by applying best/leading practices across sourcing, new/non-traditional supplier development, negotiations, should-cost modeling, and other process improvements, and facilitate their implementation
• Manage centralized — and/or guide decentralized process owners on : contract management, vendor performance management, scorecards, kpis and risk management
• Develop procurement strategies, while designing and aligning procurement processes and policies with business requirements; and deliver related executive presentations
• Ensure compliance with policies and programs in alignment with sourcing strategy; and that appropriate audit trails are embedded in procurement programs, for internal audit and performance management purposes
• Deliver processes, tools and expertise to support line management in achieving continual improvement throughout.
Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree is required; a Masters preferred.
• 7 -10 yrs procurement experience in a multi-business environment
• 5 yrs experience managing IT commodity programs.
• Some understanding of the relationship of IT to other business functions and processes
• Team player, accustomed to working in matrix organization
