We are looking for 2 Infrastructure Architects II. The candidates would be working from our Mississauga location although we will also consider Toronto or London (Ontario) based candidates.
This is a six month contract and it may be renewable.
Ideally we are seeking practical working experience as an infrastructure architect, providing solutions for application specific requirements based on an established service catalog of infrastructure components. Also of importance is the ability to follow standard patterns for solutions & recognize when an application project can not match domain standards in service catalog and raise these early in project.
Provide infrastructure architecture leadership and enterprise level consulting to the organization on the development of a quality, integrated and rationalized infrastructure environment across the company. Applies specialized knowledge in a systems infrastructure discipline to conceptualize, design, and to consult during the construction, test, implementation and optimization of infrastructure systems that enable and support business functions. Coordinates and collaborates with others to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
SKILLS: Knowledge of concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.
*Dept overview: Infrastructure Solutions Architecture has two primary roles – Solution Architects for ITS projects as well as Infrastructure solution specialists who assist LOB solution architects for business driven projects.
The team is both business aligned as well as technology aligned – covering the technology domains of mainframe/distributed server platforms, storage, database, middleware, file transfer, DRP, operational and eMessaging technologies.
The ideal IA candidate would have reasonable knowledge of our listed technology domains (see below) :
