Information Technology Controls Analyst, Toronto, Canada
Our client is seeking a Bi-or tri-lingual (Spanish/Portuguese and English) resource who is a PERMANENT RESIDENT (LANDED IMMIGRANT) or Canadian Citizen (due to travel requirements), living in Toronto, who is able to travel 40-50% of the time from Toronto to South and Central America.
The position is responsible for providing documented evidence support for internal and external audit IT testing teams, and will be the point of contact for all IT Audits performed in all regions. This individual must have previous and proven working experience as a SOX Compliance Security person, and be able to develop security policies and processes, as well as develop and manage computer security and building security processes and policies.
This individual requires intensive knowledge of managing information general controls (ITGC) and security controls, and must have experience or knowledge of ERP audits and be able to monitor critical activities required for compliance.
This individual will perform ITGC self –assessment testing for the IT departments (currently, this includes Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile and Mexico) on a quarterly basis.
Responsibilities will also include providing basic project management fundamentals and help the IT project managers to create project documentation, definitions, project plans, etc. on a daily basis.
Interviewing the ITGC control owners to obtain documented evidence to support the control for compliance on a quarterly basis. Plan and schedule internal and external testing periods to ensure process owners will be available on a quarterly basis.
This individual will assist the IT department in preparing for internal and external audits and perform ERP audits, security access on a monthly basis.
Education and Professional Designations:
Certification in compliance – CISA
Certification on security controls processes – Security plus
High school or higher level education is required
Work Experience:
• 2 to 5 years working knowledge using IS systems audit and control association methodology (ISACA) compliance and security standards
• Intensive working knowledge of ITGC SOX 404 audits
• Working knowledge of implementing DRP for OS, databases, networks, servers and software applications. As well, working knowledge of network infrastructure, LAN, WAN, Wireless etc.
• 2-5 years using COBIT and ISO 2700x frame works
• Working knowledge of regulatory practices and procedures enforcement relating to data privacy and protection
• Great verbal and written communication and organizational skills
