Job Description
Our client in London, Ontario is currently seeking a full-time Health and Safety Compliance Administrator on a contract basis. This position does have the potential to become a permanent position.
Description
Implement and perform functions related to all aspects of ISO 9001, described in the company ISO 9001 Quality Manual. Perform functions related to current Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Program including: MSDS, JHSC, WSIB, WHMIS, and Waste Management Administration.
Must have knowledge of:
Management System Reports for:
* Reject Tags
* Internal/External Audits
* Non Conformances
Legislation training for:
* WHMIS
* Transportation of Dangerous Goods
* Forklift
* First Aid Training
Administrative requirements for:
* Hazardous Material Storage
* Handling
* Containment
* Disposal
* Ontario Fire Code Part 4
* Material Safety Data Sheet
Obtaining Certification for:
* Air Approval
Quality System Documentation for:
* Creating and maintain policies and procedures, forms, and work instructions
Agenda and minutes for:
* Joint Health and Safety Committee
Qaulifications
* Minimum 2 year College or University in sciences, legislation (Occupational Health & Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act), and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
* At least 3-5 years’ experience in a health and safety related role
* Advanced Microsoft office skills including Excel
* Above average communication skills both written and oral
Compensation $14-$15/hour; depending upon experience
