Global Sourcing Mgr – Indirect – Boston area (NO RELO)
Location: Boston area, MA
Salary: $92,000 + 10%
Purpose/Role Statement:
Responsible for establishing strategic direction and ongoing management of critical activities in support of key sourcing categories. Tasked with leveraging relationships between company sites, divisions, and strategic supplier base to improve organizational efficiency and optimize business and financial opportunities.
Areas of focus will include indirect Spend Categories such as MRO, Chemicals and Professional Services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement commodity strategies that improve on a balanced tradeoff of sourcing quality, cost, risk and growth.
• Support corporate quality objectives through supplier identification, evaluation and ongoing management.
• Provide strategic influence while building relationships with outside suppliers and respective internal leads to increase organizational integration and efficiency.
• Guide Plant Procurement, R&D, and Quality through a holistic and systematic category approach to supplier selection and management.
• Establish early new supplier involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost.
• Ensure sourcing processes conform to and are conducted within applicable state and federal laws and regulations as well as all business and ethical guidelines.
• Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Management, Finance, or other technical discipline
• MBA Preferred depending on the analyst level
• Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management
