Our client is charting new territory as the leading installer of high-end security systems for institutions that rely heavily on a secure environment (think military bases, universities, high schools, etc.). Continued growth and expansion has led us to search for the Best of the Best to join their team in San Antonio, TX as a Sales Engineer. If you are prepared to take over the entire Estimation function (including oversight for all proposals, bids, and evaluation of new business opportunities) and double our output capabilities within the first 90 days, then we should talk.
We are searching for a professional who will lead with maturity and rely on previous experience in a small company environment to establish the foundation for favorable outcomes in every situation.
Some of the key areas of focus for this role include:
Intricate involvement in the proposal bidding process, being a key decision maker in determining what clients are best for the business model
Strong technical aptitude to work closely with prospective clients in designing new solutions
Complete oversight of the entire new business development team – from overall team infrastructure to KPI development and measurement
Serving as a leader within the company, interacting regularly with the Executive Team and other leaders to move the company forward
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
5+ years experience in a sales engineer role designing systems tailored to client needs
Experience designing systems requiring cabling and termination of electronic devices in any of the following industries: Voice & Data, Electronic Security, Audio/Visual or Building Automation
An IT Background that includes: Heavy Interaction with Network Admins & IT Directors, Working with IP-based electronics
Creativity to define and develop solutions to meet client needs
Excellent attitude – professional, friendly and trustworthy with impeccable client facing skills
Prior experience working and excelling in a small company environment
In addition to the above, CCNA or MCSE is advantageous to your success in this role.
