Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Do you have a background in Manufacturing Engineering/Process Engineering within the automotive industry???
If so we currently have client who is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing a team of manufacturing engineers in order to improve manufacturing efficiency, cost, and product quality.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years experience within Manufacturing Engineering within automotive and have held supervisory titles of Team Lead, Manager or Supervisor and hold a University Degree (undergraduate); Mechanical Engineering or Community College Diploma; Mechanical Engineering; or equivalent experience. Must have experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks and an understanding of TS16949
Job duties
Responsible for analyzing and providing technical support of the current manufacturing system in order to provide optimal production capabilities, cost reduction opportunities, process control methods and plans, safe methods, and manufacturing layouts
Implement projects for improvement of production operations, including line balancing, material flow and manufacturing design
Interface with Maintenance Manager regarding technical support for new system installs and capital equipment purchases
Monitor tooling designs; new and existing
Analyze current and forecast future machine capacity on a monthly basis
Participate in launching and sustaining of new and existing manufacturing products and processes
Expand cellular layout to all aspects of production
