SENIOR R and D DESIGN ENGINEER
Tasks and responsibilities
In close contact with R and D Project Managers, his/her strong technical expertise in Electronics and Magnetics allows him/her to efficiently take an active part in the development of new products dedicated to our business segments, bringing projects to successful completion (on time, at the right cost and quality, using reliable manufacturing processes).
Professional background
o Engineering University degree in electronic and power electronic (EPF degree or equivalent)
o More than 10 years practical experience as design engineer in a low cost components mixed mechanic/electronic /magnetic environment.
o Knows and sees the benefit of using the best project management practices (i.e. FMEA, design to cost and quality, Time-to-sales).
o Fluent in spoken and written English, using French as the day-to-day working language
Key personal skills
o Creative and knowledgeable about good electronic design practices in an industrial environment. A “drive for changes” for using interesting new components or technologies
o Keen to use simulation tools (electronic and magnetic)
o Use of numerous test equipments (-eg: oscilloscope, network analyser-…), hardware measurements.
o Knows and sees the benefit of using the best project management practices
o Likes to be involved in several technical projects.
o Works in close cooperation with the members of the project teams.
o Is the natural projects R and D resource when sharp expertise is required, for design, simulation and/or investigation tests on new products prototype.
o Has a good awareness of customer environment (power electronics) and is solicited for technical advice/ideas for new project development.
o Likes to work in an international environment and culture.
o Ready to travel
