Under the responsibility of the Engineering department manager, the Drafter-Designer will have the following responsibilities:
• Conceive from architectural drawings and technical specifications the custom architectural ceiling system;
• Propose Value Engineering alternatives to obtain cost savings for your projects;
• Prepare feasibility studies with Production and supervise, with the project managers, pre-production mock-ups;
• Conceive all components of the ceiling system in conformity with manufacturing limitations;
• Prepare all drawings and assembly details for client’s approval;
• Prepare all fabrication drawings for all components including fabrication method description;
• Assist clients in finding technical solutions to their system design.
Requirements:
• Experienced in architectural design;
• Good knowledge of AutoCad 2010 and Solidworks 2010;
• Knowledge of sheet metal and the equipment used;
• Bilingual, (English/French; written and spoken).
Location: Montreal (Dorval).
