Job Description
The People Bank Winnipeg is currently recruiting for a Distribution Centre Supervisor. The successful candidate for this position will have experience supervising 15-50 staff and have intermediate computer skills.
Qualifications
Experience in distribution centre operations and transportation systems.
Practical knowledge of systems and technology (bar-coding, WMS).
Strong knowledge of safety requirements related to distribution centre operations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for leadership, team building, training, supervising, negotiating, and interdepartmental interacting.
Customer Service driven.
Prioritizing, planning, time management, organization, and administrative abilities.
Responsible, self motivated and hard working.
Ability to work with all levels of Management.
Proven computer skills in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Lean/CI experience an asset (Kaizen, 5S).
Minimum of 5 years experience in distribution centre supervision.
Responsibilities
Supervise distribution centre staff for an efficient and cost-effective operation.
Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
Manage inbound and outbound activities related to receipt, replenishment, storage, order fulfillment, shipments, and claims.
Set daily priorities to attain schedules and goals.
Ensure accurate inventory with approved procedures, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Collecting and reporting of key operating metrics.
Work with internal customers to develop and implement operational improvements.
Staff planning and scheduling.
Conduct employee performance reviews.
Coordinate the after hours phone service.
Work with Management on any tasks assigned.
