Job Description:
The COMSATS institute of information technology (CIIT) is a degree awarding institute offering undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs in its seven campuses. CIIT has over 17,000 students with approx 17000 permanent faculty members.
COMSATS institute of information Technology (CIIT) is looking for an experienced professional in academics/teaching and / or administration at the senior level, preferably in higher education. To be appointed as Director for its Campus at Sahiwal.
The appointment would be for an initial three year term, beginning as soon as possible, on mutually agreed date.
Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
* Total operation of the campus
* Creating an environment for the fulfillment of educational goals, providing leadership and management of human resource development
* Strategic and operational planning and control
* Mobilization or physical resources
* Institutional marketing/advancement and students recruitment
* Hiring, training and support of staff and its welfare
* Maintaining compliance with all accreditation/ statutory bodies and reporting directly to rector CIIT
Qualifications and Experience
* PhD degree in any field of natural/Social Sciences/Engineering from an accredited educational institution, or its equivalent professional education
* 15 years relevant experience in administration/academic department of a university or other national or international organization
* preferably Maximum age of 55 years at the time of application/ nomination
