Director EAME Regulatory Affairs w/m – Aroma & Cosmetic – Germany
Symrise (more than 5.000 employees, € 1.36 bn turnover in 2009, www.symrise.com) is a world leading supplier of flavours, fragrances, aroma molecules and cosmetic ingredients for the perfume, personal care and household industries. In order to enhance the management of its Regulatory Affairs within the EAME region and to anticipate the coming strategic business issues in this domain, the company is looking for a Director EAME Regulatory Affairs w/m.
Based at the global headquarters and reporting to the Group VP Regulatory Affairs Global Scent & Care, the position holder will lead the regulatory compliance strategy for fragrances and personal care within the EAME region. Heading a team of several RA specialists, he/she will ensure up-to-date understanding of global regulations and raw ingredients restrictions, as well as in-depth knowledge of current European and international regulations pertaining to product composition, ingredient registration and labelling requirements. Furthermore, in this role he/she acts as an expert leader in key internal and external business interfaces (i.e. trade organizations, key customers, senior management).
With a high educational background in a scientific field, the successful candidate should possess a solid experience in the management of international Regulatory Affairs in a complex and innovation-driven business environment. Excellent communicator, charismatic leader with strong networks within the European Regulatory Affairs community will allow him/her to anticipate further trends in order to support and shape the development strategy of the company in this domain. Fluency in English is mandatory. The position is based in Holzminden (Lower Saxony).
