Objective
In charge of monitoring and controlling project’s budget and cost control in order to meet set targets in terms of project profitability, CPI and cost effectiveness.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review & analyzes the Estimation documents
2. Assist in Cost Planning, Estimating, Cost Analysis, Cost-in-use Studies necessary for preparing the Project Budget.
3. Analyze feedback and ensure accuracy
4. Calculate value of work done, expenditures including variances and prediction (forecast) of future trends against approved budget
5. Analyze and monitors project cost performance against budget, identify variances and initiate early warning for overruns
6. Issue exception reports for variances; follows up concerns until corrective action is taken
7. Provide customized cost analysis scenarios, as and when required
8. Participate in completing close out report in liaison with project team and Finance
9. Prepare Project Costing Forecast on a monthly basis (using Earned Value Concept) in coordination with the Project Manager/ Planning Engineer/Finance and accordingly revise the project cost forecasts as required by project conditions
10. Calculate the percentage of overheads to be charged on contracts during the estimation phase in coordination with the Finance department; liaises with the Finance department to charge the company’s overheads according to the company’s overhead allocation system/ procedures.
11. Review and validate the project profitability reports prepared in coordination with Finance department and ensures that the financial provisions of the contract are properly interpreted and applied.
Education:
A Bachelor degree in Engineering, where knowledge of Finance is an addition.
Relevant Experience:
A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Construction field.
