Category Manager – Cannock – £30k + Bonus
The contribution of this role is recognized as pivotal in delivering the Group’s wider Corporate Strategy and involves offering support, advice and guidance to all levels of all business divisions.
Must have at least three years experience and have hands on, practical experience in a range of procurement activities and service/commodity areas. Be able to demonstrate evidence of supplier relationship management, be able to relate to, and be influential with, representative from all levels of the organization – including operational and technical experts and Senior Directors both internal and external where applicable.
Qualifications / Skills requirements
Academic
• Degree level educated
• Be part CIPS qualified
• A sound and up to date knowledge of contract law and contract drafting ability is required.
Practical
• Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to define communicate and deliver supply chain strategies and policies to all levels of the organisation.
• Strategic vision with the ability to maximise supplier performance in cost effective, productive relationships.
• Enthusiasm and ability to work as an integral member of the wider business team.
