Business Development Officer
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with minimum 3 years of a proven record of business development success to build on our current market position in Saudi Arabia. You will identify opportunities, evaluate them and create a plan to pursue and win targeted projects. This includes managing the proposal and lead generation process, screening of RFQ/RFPs, maintaining and growing existing client relationships, prospects and brand management. The purpose of this role is to create, implement and manage high impact business generation to develop BLP’s existing engineering consultancy within the overall practice strategy plan. This will be delivered using methods that are both innovative and ROI measurable (KPIs) across all platforms.

Main Duties & Responsibilities are as follows:
Create, with all key stakeholders, an ongoing business generation strategy aligned with BLP priorities, to include:
• A clear process for identifying and managing tender opportunities, new appointments and a new client base
• Identify and target new sectors for parallel diversification and create an activity calendar aligned to priorities
• Develop the BLP brand to create more prominence, develop differentiators
• Secure and manage trade show, exhibition and networking activity
• Manage and own all direct mail initiatives across the division both tactical and as part of customer ‘nurturing’ strategy
• Management of the lead generation budget with demonstrable ROI
• Work with trade marketing and align tools, campaigns and activity in order to maximise field activity and results. This would include PR, exhibitions, etc.
• Proactively share lead generation best practice and the BSD new business agenda across the division and wider business.

Qualifications & Experience:
• B2B Sales and/or Marketing experience
• Very strong communication and presentation skills (formal and informal, verbal and written)
• Understanding of the needs and operational process of sales functions and engineering process
• Understanding of digital media preferred
• Highly organised
• Creative, entrepreneurial thinking.
• A knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry would be an advantage
• Experience in KSA not a necessity but an advantage
