Audit Manager for NYC CPA Firm

CPA firm with offices in NY and NJ seeks an Audit Manager to join their growing NYC practice.
.
The position responsibilities include:
• Performing and supervising audits, reviews and compilations for a diverse, middle market client base or financial service clients mainly
• Preparing and/or reviewing tax returns for individual, corporations, partnership and other related returns
• Preparing engagement letters
• Variation analysis
• Reviewing quarterly financial information
Reviewing internal controls and making recommendations for improvements
• Delegating work to staff and providing an environment that fosters a team approach
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
Position Requirements:
• CPA highly preferred
• 6+ years in a small to mid size CPA firm or the small business department of a larger CPA firm
• Experience performing reviews, compilations, and audits
• Experience preparing/reviewing tax returns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Desire to train and evaluate staff
• Good “team-player”
Salary commensurate with experience
