AUDIT SENIORS AND MANAGERS WITH EXPERTISE IN HUD NEEDED TO JOIN GROWING CPA FIRM IN NYC

Responsibilities Include:
• Planning and reviewing audits and tax work related to HUD and low income housing
• Developing audit programs and strategies to more effectively handle client issues
• Supervising, training and evaluating staff
• Delegating work to staff and providing an environment that fosters a team approach to auditing
• Reviewing internal controls and making recommendations for improvements
• Management presentations
• Maintaining a knowledge of business developments and their affect on your client
• Reviewing quarterly financial information
• Resolving problems prior to submission for final partner review
• Encouraging a team approach to performing audits
• Developing and maintaining strong client relations
• Performing tax compliance services for clients
• Knowledge of recent tax developments and their affect on your clients
• Determining the best tax strategy to optimize the clients’ tax issues
• Special projects as needed
Position Requirements:
• 7+ years experience in auditing HUD or low income housing clients
• Prior experience with partnership and non profit tax returns
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
• CPA certification a must
• Strong project management skills
