Role Overview
To provide project management for the technical aspects of the many Group Innovation products planned for launch in the upcoming period.
To liaise between Marketing, vendors and OpCo technical teams to ensure a successful launch and operation of the new products.
Core Responsibilities
•Ensure group wide products and projects are delivered to participating group members in the most effective way possible.
•Deliver the technical elements of projects to the lead PM for each project and product.
•Single point of contact between multiple vendors and multiple OpCo technical teams
•Act as main contact point for technical and design queries.
•Create and deliver common solutions across multiple OpCos, generally with different technology estates.
•Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, and own the non-functional aspects of the design.
•Ensure solutions have the appropriate resilience, redundancy and performance.
•Liaise with QI and OpCo groups to ensure products can be monitored, audited and maintained
•Ensure products are delivered in accordance with IT Architecture principles and the Solutions Catalogue.
•Maximise re-use of technologies and design, to reduce delivery cost time and risk across the group.
•Seek to reuse existing technologies and designs for upcoming new products. Minimise the proliferation of solutions.
•In particular, drive the use of the group standard SDP, DWH & MI and other group standards for all new products.
•Drive standardisation of infrastructure. Support the group virtualisation and cloud computing initiatives. Drive efficiencies of Capex and Opex through virtualisation , sharing and re-use.
•Implement ITIL principles and best practices in the Group.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
•At least 12 years experience in telco project, delivery and operational roles.
•At least 5 years experience in technical project management.
•PMP qualified an advantage.
•Technical degree or similar qualification.
•Experience in implementing and operating an ITIL standard organisation.
•Experience in at least CMM level 3 organisations.
Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge
• Proven track record in technical project management.
• Proven experience working across multinational Telcos, in a heterogeneous environment.
•Strong TelCo technology background.
•Prior experience working in the MENA region an advantage.
•Experience with SDP and VAS platforms, network element integration and industry leading BSS products an advantage.
•Proven track record establishing relationships with dispersed technical teams, and working across traditional IT and Networks boundaries.
•Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
