Salary Range: Around Rs. 44,000 per month but could be more for an exceptional candidate

Job Purpose: Assistant Manager Internal Audit and Compliance would be responsible to assist management in the effective discharge of its responsibilities by providing impartial audit analyses, appraisals, recommendations, and pertinent comments on the activities reviewed. The audits are designed to evaluate the adequacy of controls and practices as they relate to the effective, efficient, and economical use of the resources of Hashoo Foundation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assistant Manager Internal Audit and Compliance will be responsible to develop audit and compliance plans
• Ensure the accuracy of transactions, records and reports.
• Develop and perform audit procedures, exercising reasonable judgement in the application of audit principles and techniques.
• Prepare comprehensive written audit reports, including recommendations for corrective action or system improvements in Programme planning, budgeting and budgetary control, Effectiveness of the financial control framework ,Project management, Procurement, Human Resources, Logistics and Risk Management
• Coordinate and provide assistance to external auditors, as requested.
• Oversee and coordinate donor and other external audits and evaluations
• Ensure that external audit reports are received and properly archived.
• Prepare summary reports for management review.
• Evaluate risks of potential and incurred fraudulent activity and inform management and the Finance and support services team.
• Maintain a log of audit recommendations and implementation plans.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and effectiveness of the Internal Control System
• Highlight potential risks and deficiencies to senior management.
Qualifications:
• CA Inter/ CA Finalist
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferably with the development sector
• A minimum of three years relevant working experience preferably with the development sector.
• Excellent knowledge of computer systems; proficient in MS Excel, Ms Word, Outlook; familiar with accounting software; strong ability to present, analyse and process numerical information and financial and statistical data.
• Strong work ethics and values.
• Willingness to travel, at times in difficult conditions.
• Experience in training and mentoring staff.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills are must
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural & gender sensitivity
