Develops, implements and maintains RDBMS structures to support business needs and application development, utilizing strong communication and prioritization skills. Coordinates, reviews, analyzes and approves the physical database requirements of databases and all associated objects; such as, but not limited to tables spaces, tables, indexes, and views.
•Develops, implements, and maintains RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance and production environments utilizing current standards and procedures
•Provides performance-related and system support for RDBMS data structures in test, quality assurance, and production environments utilizing current tool-sets.
•Ensures database connectivity requirements are met
•Provides project leadership ability for short-term projects
•Upgrades and or patches RDBMS and associated software
•Associate’s degree OR 4 years work experience with Relational Database Management Systems with DB2, SQLSERVER, and/or Oracle
•2 years work experience with Relational Database Management Systems with DB2 Z/OS
•2 years work experience with systems development methodologies
•2 years work experience with the design, creation and maintenance of database structures
•2 years work experience with the development and revision of database standards, procedures and strategies
•Knowledge of DB2 Z/OS v8
•Oral and written communication skills

•Critical Thinking Skills
Ability to work 24-hour on-call support rotation.
